URGENT HELP REQUIRED – WE NEED DONATIONS TONIGHT – PLEASE SHARE
This is an urgent cry for your help. 25 puppies in a month have come into our care in the last month (below the age of 12 weeks I might add!) We’ve also had a few older residents currently enjoying their senior years and what time they have left in palliative cares. Some special rescues from bad breeding and hoarding situations. Plus many many more and It seems to never end. About a month ago we however did a special save that we haven’t spoken much about. Mainly because we knew once these beautiful puppies go up on the main page for adoption they will be popular. But more importantly we have let them heal and recover in peace because of how they arrived to us.
We received an enquiry one day a lovely lady was trying to help her elderly neighbour who’s dogs had a litter of puppies because he couldn’t afford to desex his girl. He had 8 puppies and they were sick. We didn’t know how sick but we said yes of course we would help. What else are we there for… A couple of days went by and we never heard back. By chance we emailed her again just to check on these puppies and found out some devastating news. Half the litter had died and the other half wouldn’t make it through the night. We jumped into action, amazing carers working together to get the dogs from Gympie to Logan so we could rush them into our vets and find out what was wrong. What we collected were 4 very sick, skinny puppies suffering from sever hook worm infestation. These pups were in horrible shape and thanks to amazing vets who stayed open until 2 am for us we were able to save the 4 lives. These dogs have had blood transfusions and fluids, antibiotics you name it. Everything was done to save their lives.
They didn’t ask to be in this position and here they were fighting for their lives. Now they are recovering well, except one who was rushed back to the vets recently who still wasn’t 100 percent but is continuing to recover well. We couldn’t be more proud of the amazing effort and the amazing results. Vet work for these dogs has been extensive.
Their vet costs currently sit at over $4,000 (gulp)…. We need your urgent help tonight. Just $5 from each and every one of you would get us over the line. I know things are though at the moment, but think about our foster carers running to Logan to rescue these poor pups at the drop of a hat. Just $5, the cost of a cup of coffee in the morning is all we are after from each and every one of you.
