URGENT HELP REQUIRED – PARVO STRIKES – DONATIONS NEEDED – PLEASE HELP
We’ve had the week from hell. Seriously! It has been torture. We aren’t out of the woods (not at all actually…) and need your urgent help.
We have taken in 9 dogs this week….One of them, Percy is severely malnourished and weak, and the others as usual, are coming in completely unvetted, undernourished and needing some serious work.
Of our original 6 kelpie babies (gulp), unfortunately only 2 are alive today due to this horrible disease – Parvo. If only their owner had cared enough to vaccinate them before discarding them!! We are still taking them in - we won't back down just because they are at risk.
Their pound is also EXTREMELY remote, and supplies can't reach them. There is no vet in town, or close by. What we need to do, is help this pound and the future intake of dogs, by sending them supportive products to clean properly with and help prevent the spread. Things like, f10 disinfectant, spray guns to use with it, and puppy wormer and electrolytes to help them stay in the best possible condition while they're impounded and waiting for us to rescue them.
We expect the dogs to all land this Saturday morning (it takes 2 days to get to our base in Toowoomba) and will fill the transport vehicle with supplies to send back on the trip to get our next load of dogs.
We also need help to pay for the intake of these dogs. We were not expecting their intake!! Not at all. This is all adding up and fast and we are exhausted. Parvo is the worst and it’s hit us mentally and financially.
We don't have the cash upfront to pay for their vaccinations, health checks, flea tick and worming. We are also COMPLETELY out of puppy food so have that expense coming...and because they're all malnourished, we can't just go to Coles for cheap stuff, we need good quality to help them get back on track.
It’s panic stations and we need your help. Just $5 from each and every one of you, the cost of your next coffee tomorrow morning would help us raise the $5,000 so we can get these dogs the care they deserve
