In May this year I will be heading to Papua New Guinea to hike the Kokoda Trail. I will be doing this as part of a team with my ambulance colleagues, police, SES and fire brigade workers. We are doing this with the aim of raising much needed funds and awareness towards improving the mental health services for Victorian emergency service workers.
In all of our work we are faced with stressful, confronting and traumatic experiences which can take a heavy toll on our mental health, and therefore need all the support we can get!
We will hike together for eleven days along the notorious Kokoda trail. The trail is going to be physically challenging and mentally draining. As emergency service workers we are quite often at the same scenes, working together to get the job done and we aim to continue this team work for the duration of the trek.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could support my fundraising efforts for this excellent cause. Every cent can make a difference.
Please donate :)
