$3,100 on our vet account, expected to be over $4,000 by tomorrow
What is harder than seeing your puppies sick and unwell? Worrying about how we are going to afford their treatment. We cannot deny these dogs their life saving treatment but we need your help.
We were lucky enough that Blakes Crossing Vet successfully treated Rumor and Raffey. They are now fighting fit at home like nothing ever happened!
Two other pups went down over the weekend and were admitted for supportive treatment - Lolly and Ronnie.
We love what we do, but times like this - it sucks. It is not just the euthanasia part that’s devastating if they don’t make it - it’s everything else....
It’s the um-ing and ah-ing when you see they first show disinterest in food, it’s the phone calls, the backwards and forwards, the round the clock care, the administering of multiple meds and fluids, it’s syringe feeding, it’s checking they are still alive, it’s the late night trips to the vets, the phone calls to family and family daycare to see who can watch the kids for me, it’s the moving of sleeping kids in the pouring rain back home to bed, it’s the setting up of quarantine yards, it’s the cleaning, it’s the reducing risk of contamination, it’s the washing of clothes and cars, it’s holding them while they have no blood pressure trying to find a vein to put them on fluids, it’s the holding them while they are euthanised while still going home and managing other sick ones....
We are tired.... We are exhausted..... We are sad..... but what if we didn’t do it? Who would.....
Can you please consider a donation to these pups care? It would mean the world to us but to them, it would mean a life.
