THIS IS OUR SOS – DONATIONS ARE NEEDED – PLEASE SHRE
This is our urgent cry for help. We are exhausted and sad. Actually, sad is an understatement.
This week we assisted a member of the public with her poor cat that had been attacked by a dog. After, emergency x-rays and ultrasound and cremation the costs came in at over $1,300.
I wish I could tell you that this was all. Unfortunately not.
Next we had a poor little pound kitty in to two vets. Final diagnosis was liver failure and lungs full of fluid. Another feline crossed the rainbow bridge and another bill of over $1,000
But last night took the cake. I am in tears even telling you about it. It is just so sad but we have to keep on going.
Our tiny abandoned sister kittens were rushed to the vets for the second evening in 48 hours and this time the vets couldn't save them. Both tiny girls were diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia and despite the efforts of the emergency vets, both girls had to be sent to heaven above.
Last night alone was a further $1,850.
The stress and emotions are high.... Our committee is exhausted… There has been no weekend rest. None of it.
This week alone has cost upwards of $5,000 and while the emergency costs skyrocketed our normal day to day de-sexings and routine vet visits rose to over $5,000 too.
We are in trouble. Every day our committee and foster carers do what they do best but with the current tragedies and bills hanging over our head, it really hits home hard.
Tears have been shed, lots of them this week unfortunately. We are exhausted, stressed and on edge. When the phone rings we fear the worst… it’s just this sort of environment.
Tonight we are hoping to clear part of our bills, to raise $6,000. A fresh start to the week for our team, to give them some hope.
Can you help? Just $5…. It would mean the world. Every dollar that you donate goes straight to our animals. You are our life blood, our saviour as we receive no government funds.
We are begging for you to help us. Please… for our animals.
