Please give today so we can open Adelaide’s first Kidney Transplant House
Kidney Health Australia is on the cusp of opening our first Kidney Transplant House in Adelaide – and we need your help to raise the final $20,000 to make this happen.
The purchase of this Adelaide apartment was generously funded by the Emorgo Foundation, but before the first transplant or home dialysis education patient can stay, we need to fully furnish the apartment with everything from household appliances and furniture, to bedding and kitchenware.
The quicker we can raise $20,000 for all furnishings, the sooner this empty apartment can begin helping the kidney community.
“I saw the washing machine and I nearly cried! It’s the little things that really matter.” – Sue Johns, mother of kidney transplant recipient. Victorian Transplant House.
Accommodation at the Kidney Transplant House in Adelaide will be free for regional and rural patients who need to travel more than 100kms to their treating hospital, so they can recover and rest from transplant surgery, attend daily hospital appointments, or undergo home dialysis training and education.
By helping to furnish the Kidney Transplant House in Adelaide, you’ll be supporting the life-changing gift of kidney donation within the kidney community of South Australia.
“The value of the accommodation cannot be measured in dollars alone. The proximity to services and the convenience has been a godsend. It has allowed what can be described as a stressful time of our lives to be eased without the worry and financial burden of finding accommodation.” – Rob and Alex, who stayed at the Victorian Transplant House.
Donate today to help give kidney patients a home away from home.
